Actress Fran Drescher has become the most recent celebrity to start a gluten-free diet – and she’s feeling great.
After multiple visits to multiple doctors, Drescher was fed up with the prescription fixes she was being given and took matters into her own hands. After years of feeling exhausted and drained of energy, Drescher decided to cut out alcohol, animal products and gluten.
After the decision to change her eating habits, Drescher has noticeably slimmed down – shedding 15 pounds she said she hadn’t been able to lose for years – has noted a change her in complexion, and feels re-energized.
Drescher joins the growing list of celebrities following gluten-free diets either because they’ve been diagnosed with Celiac Disease, or have a gluten intolerance or a wheat allergy: Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Drew Brees, Novak Djokovic, Geri Halliwell, Josh Turner, Zooey Deschanel, Meg Cabot, and Tenley Molzahn are among the large number of authors, professional athletes, actors and singers who have gone gluten free.
