Most U.S. hotels do not offer gluten-free bread products for breakfast (or other meals). They might have bacon, eggs and potatoes but they are not likely to offer gluten-free muffins or waffles. It’s annoying to get a “free” breakfast that offers you only a piece of fruit, or if you’re lucky, a hard boiled egg.
Now the search for the perfect shelf stable breakfast treat is over. Sorrella Bakery Biscotinnes are handmade gluten-free biscotti type cookies. They are crunchy but not as dense as regular biscotti. There are several flavors but we only tried the “Cinnamon Swirl” which is phenomenal.
The company sells their products online and offers very reasonable shipping rates (FREE on case order). The product line is gluten and dairy free and can be found in some health food stores around the country.
It’s rare to find a shelf stable gluten-free item that does not go stale fairly quickly once opened. Two months after we opened the bag, they product was as fresh as the day it was opened. Our household will not be going anywhere without packing this gluten-free travel friendly item. The cookies are also the perfect treat to enjoy with afternoon tea!
