Enjoy Gluten-Free Dining at Macaroni Grill

Most Italian restaurants are a minefield for gluten-free diners, but now you can add Macaroni Grill to the list of Italian restaurants that are more than accomodating to gluten allergies. Not only does Macaroni Grill offer a gluten-free menu, they also have special menus for those who have Shellfish, Tree Nut, Soy, Egg, and Peanut allergies.

So what can you get at Macaroni Grill? If you are looking for something light, try one of their many Insalatas including the Warm Spinach Salad, Chicken Ceaser, and Parmesan-Crusted. And you can even enjoy many of the salad dressings Macaroni Grill offers which is an added bonus.

For entrees – the Beef, Lamb, Chicken and Shrimp Spiedinis are light and delicious, or for a heartier dish try the Grilled Halibut with Risotto.

And dessert! Macaroni Grill has an excellent Italian Sorbetto that is the perfect way to cleanse your palate after a nice meal. And of course you can always enjoy your entree with their many wine choices.

So raise a glass and say Salute! to another great Italian (and gluten-free) meal.

If you are gluten free and your group wants to go to Macaroni grill then stay home or eat before you go. The chicken spiedini is basically a small chicken breast cut up on a skewer. Its not bad but less than satisfying.

  • Allie says:

I agree the restaurant does have a limited gluten-free menu but for happy hour or a light lunch or dinner I think it’s a good option.

  • Liz says:

I was excited to see that Macaroni Grill now has rice penne pasta, so I ordered it. It came out with a spaghetti noodle in it, so there was clear cross contamination. The manager apologized and my substitute meal was covered. I went to their Facebook page to complain and noticed another gluten-free patron very sick from the rice pasta due to it being cooked in the same water and wheat pasta…and this was at a different location.
It seems that MG really doesn’t take the gluten-free diet seriously.

My wife had the GF penne and thoroughly enjoyed it, with no problems. Just wanted to say that not every experience with Macaroni Grill and gluten intolerant people has been a bad one.
