This Examiner has been eating and enjoying Jones Dairy Farm meat products for a number of years, so when I was asked to review their products it was a no brainer.

Amy’s Is Adding New Gluten-Free Products to Their Line-up
This Examiner has been a fan of the gluten-free products from Amy’s Kitchen for more than a decade. Their line of gluten-free convenience foods, prepared meals, pizzas, wraps and desserts can always be found in my freezer.
We like knowing we are eating quality food that is made with organic ingredients that are GMO free and contain zero trans fats. We also love that they don’t just stick to one type of cuisine and include Indian, Italian and Asian dishes.
What a lot of people don’t know about this family-oriented company is that Read More »
Gluten Free Product Review: Surf Sweets!
I LOVED trying a bunch of awesome Surf Sweets products that I won from a Stuffed Pepper twitter giveaway!
Admittedly, I have not been able to try all the products that they sent (there are a lot!) but I had so much fun trying what I have so far. I probably never would have sought out these products on my own. I could give or take most candy (chocolate is another story…) but now I know just where to turn for something sweet or sour!
This is the entire package I got in the mail. The individual packs are bigger and have multiple servings. The boxes contain smaller packs and are a single serving (I prefer this because it’s easier to control portion size.) When I was
eating the sour gummy worms out of the bigger bag, I definitely Read More »
Back on the Bread Wagon with Rudi’s Gluten Free Sandwich Bread
Recently I was sent a sample of Rudi’s Gluten Free sandwich bread and was blown away. For the most part, I had given up enjoying bread since becoming gluten free. I have enjoyed gluten free bread at restaurants but as far as making a sandwich at home or enjoying toast for breakfast, it just wasn’t happening at home. There just didn’t seem to be a gluten free bread that I thought was worth buying much less that I truly enjoyed.
I can now say, I’m back on the bread wagon, and loving it. Rudi’s offers original, multigrain and a cinnamon raisin bread, all of which exceeded my expectations. I tried all of them toasted and un-toasted and honestly, have no complaints. To make sure I wasn’t just overly excited by having free bread sent to my house, I made my fiance try them all too. He is not gluten free and Read More »
Review: Saffron Road – Gluten Free Frozen Entrees

How does Saffron Road guarantee that its livestock are treated humanely?
We work with trusted, credible, third parties to certify that our livestock are treated humanely. Our chicken is Certified Humane® by the Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC) and our lamb by the Global Animal Partnership. HFAC is endorsed by a consortium of animal welfare organizations, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Both of these standards require Read More »

Gluten Free Indulgence: Kitchen Table Bakers’ Parmesan Cheese Crisps
Nine Varieties of Kitchen Table Bakers' Parmesan Crisps
Many snacks are labeled “cheese,” but only Parmesan Cheese Crisps can rightfully claim this title. They are, after all, made from 100% parmesan cheese.
That’s right. While other companies use a bit of cheese to flavor their products, Kitchen Table Bakers delivers the tastiest cheese as the whole part for you to savor.
We tested all nine product flavors: Aged Parmesan, Rosemary, Jalapeno, Basil Pesto, Sesame, Flaxseed, Italian Herb, Everything, and Garlic. We also tried the Aged Parmesan mini crisps.
Our take – Kitchen Table Bakers’ Parmesan Crisps are a unique gourmet indulgence and totally satisfying.
About the Cheese Crisps:
We first met Barry Novick, the president of Kitchen Table Bakers, at a Celiac Disease event being held at Columbia University in 2005. He had recently started his business. As attendees raved about the taste of his cheese crisps, he proudly described how his products were made from the best all natural parmesan cheese and were 100% gluten-free. Like many in the gluten-free industry, Barry became involved to improve his own health. This makes him just as passionate about the safety of his products as he is about the flavor.
Kitchen Table Bakers’ Gourmet Parmesan Crisps are:
- Made from 100% aged parmesan cheese.
- Low in carbohydrates, less than 1 gram per serving.
- All natural – no preservatives.
- Sugar-free, gluten-free, wheat-free.
- Low in calories (70-80 calories per serving).
- Contain no Read More »
Friday’s Find: Sugar-Free Vanilla Coconut Milk (and a New Smoothie!)
This week’s Friday’s Find makes this Smoothie Queen very happy. Not only is it made by a company that I already love, but it opens up flavor options without added sugar. I love So Delicious Coconut Milk, but I usually purchase the unsweetened version to avoid sugar. I have to admit that I do look longingly at the Vanilla, because it is truly sooooo delicious. In coffee, over cereal, in smoothies, it’s just wonderful. But since I’ve cut out sugar, the vanilla sweetness has been but a lovely memory.
Until now.
This week I happened to see a carton of So Delicious Sugar-Free Vanilla Coconut Milk at Whole Foods. While I was thrilled to see that it didn’t have cane sugar, I took a good hard look at the ingredients hoping that I wouldn’t find artificial sweeteners instead. I was glad to see that it is sweetened with stevia and monk fruit. Sweet! Tempted to fill my cart, I decided to take just one box and see how I liked it first.
I should have filled the cart.

Gluten Free Product Review: Gefen Vanilla Wafers
It has finally happened…the gluten-free answer to the vanilla wafer has been discovered and it is the vanilla cookies made by Gefen. Now for the bad news…they are only available during Passover and they are made in Israel.
While strolling the aisles at a local Super Target we discovered Gefen’s vanilla cookies on clearance for $3.90 per box. What really caught my attention was the Celiac Disease Foundation logo on the box. The cookies are made from: potato starch, sugar, whole eggs, palm oil and vanilla. Somehow we just knew they were going to taste amazing and they do.
These cookies remind me of a vanilla wafer crossed with Read More »
Gluten Free Product Review: Sweet Potato Fries at Chick-fil-A

Crunchy on the outside! Creamy on the inside!
Back in May Chick-fil-A added sweet potato waffle fries to their menu. The sweet potato fries are still in development, so they are just gathering feedback at this time, which also means they are only available in select locations.
Unfortunately, they were not available anywhere in Atlanta, but you can get them until August 31st at Chick-fil-A in Athens, GA.
Chick-fil-A is a great place to get fast food if you are on the gluten-free diet because Read More »
