Jennie-O Turkey Store is recalling close to 55,000 pounds of frozen ground turkey breast that was sold exclussively at Sam’s Clubs. The ground turkey may be contaminated with salmonella. Salmonella can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever and is extremely dangerous for those with compromised immune systems.
The recalled turkey is packaged in 4 pound boxes that contain 12 patties. The labels says “All Natural Turkey Burgers with seasonings Lean White Meat” with a “use by” date of December 23, 2011.
Consumers that have this product in their freezer should return it to Sam’s Club for a full refund.
