Canyon Bakehouse is recalling certain products sold in specific states in the United States.

Canyon Bakehouse Everything Bagels UPC: 8-53584-00221-8 Lot: 032220316

Products were sold in the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

Consumers should discard affected product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may call Flowers’ Consumer Relations Center at 1-866-245-8921. Vibrant Health Products, a family-owned bakery in Abbotsford, B.C., Canada, has voluntarily recalled one lot of liveGfree Gluten Free Classic Soft White Hamburger Buns due to a packaging error. As a result, this product may contain undeclared egg.

The company discovered liveGfree Gluten Free White Bread was incorrectly packaged into liveGfree Gluten Free Classic Soft White Hamburger Bun packaging. The liveGfree Gluten Free White Bread contains egg, which is not listed in the ingredients or as an allergen on the liveGfree Gluten Free Classic Soft White Hamburger Buns. Read More »

Maggi Recalls Bouillon Cubes Due to Gluten Contamination

maggi recall chicken bouillonSeveral stores have posted about a recall of Maggi Chicken Bouillon Cubes made by Nestle for undeclared wheat flour, one of the major food allergens.

Stores that have posted the recall include Publix, Price Chopper, Wegmans, Stop & Shop, Hannaford, and Giant.

The Maggi Chicken Bouillon Cubs may have been sold at other grocery store chains.

General Mills Recalls Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios for Containing Wheat

cheerios recallGeneral Mills is voluntarily recalling several days of production of Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios cereal produced at its Lodi, California facility on certain dates in July of this year because of an undeclared allergen – wheat – with potential adverse health effects. Because this recall relates to an undeclared allergen, this is a Class I product recall.

Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios produced on these dates at the company’s Lodi, California facility are being recalled because an isolated incident resulted in wheat flour being inadvertently introduced into the gluten free oat flour system at its Lodi facility. Recently we were advised by our contract manufacturer that they had discovered that one of our suppliers was including a dairy ingredient in one of the components (sunflower oil) used in our pancake and cake mixes.

As you can imagine for a dairy intolerant family like mine, this was extremely disturbing.

We value your health and safety highly, and my commitment to never feed anyone something I cannot feed my own child is absolute.

Any amount of cross contamination with dairy – no matter how small – is unacceptable to us and, therefore I am authorizing a nationwide product recall of all mixes of yellow cake, chocolate cake and our biscuit and pancake mix. Read More »
