A lot has changed in the past few years for gluten free eaters. It’s one of the fastest growing markets. According to Foodnavigator.com, this market has grown at an average rate of 28% since 2004. Sales are estimated to be at $2.6 billion by 2012. Wow.
What does this mean for you? When companies review trends and where grocery dollars are being spent, that’s where their research and development is focused. In the San Francisco area, there are many options. If you have a local market that doesn’t carry any gluten free products, try making a request.
