My fiancee and I like to cook. We like being healthy and since we hate unnecessary pain and suffering, we avoid cross contamination.  As a result, we tend to eat mostly healthy, tasty, homemade meals.

While we love cooking, we have busy lives and hate cleaning up. Every once in awhile we both wish we could just order a pizza.  In fact, we were just talking about it the other day.

Pizza Hut must have heard us talking because they just launched their Udi’s Pizza Sales today! And they deliver!

Here is what Pizza Hut posted on its website today:

For some time, we’ve seen you guys do all sorts of unique and inventive things to eat pizza. From your special homemade version to cauliflower crusts to zucchini pizza boats, we’ve been impressed with your pizza spirit. But we knew you were still missing out on the simple joy of ordering pizza and having it arrive at your door. So we got together with our friends at Pizza Hut and came up with a solution.

If you eat gluten-free, you might think there aren’t a lot of choices for bread out there. A few years ago, I discovered Udi’s products and pretty much haven’t gone back since. The bread in particular was so much better than most of the other gluten-free bread that was being sold. Other brands more closely resembled cardboard than anything I would put turkey upon. My kids, at 6 and 4 years old, were able to make the change as well. I noticed though, my son would eat the meat and was very often not eating the bread. We tried toasting it and that really seemed to help. No more bread waste with the exception of a few crusts here and there.

The gluten-free food industry is exploding due to increased diagnosis of celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. Celiac disease is estimated to affect 1 in 100 people, while gluten sensitivity is believed to affect up to 10% of the population. The gluten-free market is one of the fastest growing industries, with 20%+ growth per year with US sales increasing from under $1 billion in 2006 to over $2.5 billion in 2011. Udi’s Gluten Free is launching their NEW line of Hamburger Buns, Hot Dog Buns and two varieties of Ancient Grains Breads this month… just in time for your summer BBQs!  I have been waiting for what seems like a very long time for Udi’s Gluten Free to make buns; I figured that since their bread is soft, delicious and doesn’t need toasting that their buns would be superior to others on the market.  I was right.
