For the 24th year in a row, Nationwide Children’s Hospital will be hosting the Celiac Conference. The conference is a great place to mingle, shop and learn more about Celiac Disease and the gluten-free diet. The conference will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM. The Gluten Free/Allergy Free Expo is taking place in Lisle, IL April 29th – May 1st. Jen Cafferty is the founder and director of this event that is the Midwest’s largest gluten-free vendor fair. The Celiac Disease Foundation: Greater Phoenix Chapter will host its 3rd Annual Greater Phoenix Gluten-Free Expo on Saturday, April 16, 2011.
This event is open to the public and gives people challenged with Celiac Disease, or those interested in transitioning to a gluten-free lifestyle, an opportunity to learn more about gluten-free products and where to purchase those products, as well as learning about local restaurants offering gluten-free menus. In 2010, over 600 attendees and 37 vendors participated in the expo. This year promises to be even bigger, with an expected 800 guests and 50 vendors.

On Sunday, October 10th, 2010, arena football kicker, Craig Pinto, will be kicking field goals for 12 straight hours, from 7:30am-7:30pm, with two goals in mind. So excited to report that the upcoming Gluten Free Vendor Fair and Fundraiser in Norcross on September 25th is officially sold out at 70 vendors. This is the fourth gluten-free vendor fair sponsored by the Atlanta Metro Celiacs and coordinated by this Examiner.
Even though there is no more room for vendors to demo their products, the Atlanta Metro Celiacs are happy to accept donations for their raffle. Raffle tickets are sold for $1 each and are a widely popular purchase at the fair.
