Old Spice Actor Reveals Gluten-free Diet Secret on Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Isaiah Mustafa, the actor build best known for his impressive build, good humor and over-the-top bravado in the Emmy-nominated Old Spice commercials, recently revealed the diet he follows to achieve his chiseled physique on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

According to Mustafa, celebrity trainer Tony Horton has him on a diet that contains no alcohol, caffeine, processed sugar, animal products or gluten. Horton is the producer of the wildly popular workout videos, P90X.

Gluten-free celebrities on the rise! Madonna serves gluten-free goodies.

 

The latest celebrity to announce her affinity for the gluten-free diet is the one and only, Madonna.  In celebration of her 52nd birthday and her son’s 10th, the Queen of Pop will be hosting a party with a King and Queen theme. Madge does not maintain a strictly gluten-free diet, but announced that some GF treats including brownies will be served at the high-profile fête.

Whoever would have thought one of the main pieces of news about Chelsea Clinton’s wedding was her gluten-free wedding cake.  When the national morning news programs learned about the gluten-free wedding cake, made by La Tulipe Desserts in New York’s Westchester County, it was with great confusion that they reported the news.  Most people seem to think that gluten-free products of any type are not any good, so they seemed shocked that the daughter of the former President would need to settle for a gluten-free cake. Reality TV Shows are Including the Reality of Celiac Disease

Celiac disease has been a topic on not one but two TV shows in the past few days. I hardly watch television, so I’m fortunate to have learned about these episodes from a fellow blogger, the Gluten-Free Optimist.
First, the cable network BBC America’s reality show Last Restaurant Standing had an episode (#13) in which competing restauranteurs were required to come up with food for celiac guests (and other “tricky customers”) without advance warning.
