Woohoo! Chick-Fil-A just announced in a press release that they will be carrying individually wrapped gluten-free buns at their restaurants nationwide. (USA)
In the video, I explain the bun and how it arrives so you don’t get cross contaminated. I also walk you through Chick Fil A’s gluten-free menu on their website.
Over the past few years more & more restaurants have been adding gluten-free menus to their repertoire. This is a much welcomed change to people who have had to follow the diet for any period of time. Simply being able to order off of the menu and not bring food in from the outside is a pleasure.
Arby’s is the latest establishment in this explosion of gluten-free menus. Arby’s has multiple meat items, several salads, drinks & even shakes on the menu.
The French fries and potato cakes are off limits due to cross-contamination issues; sharing the deep fryer with chicken fingers, chicken patties and mozzarella sticks makes them unsafe.

My fiancee and I like to cook. We like being healthy and since we hate unnecessary pain and suffering, we avoid cross contamination. As a result, we tend to eat mostly healthy, tasty, homemade meals.
While we love cooking, we have busy lives and hate cleaning up. Every once in awhile we both wish we could just order a pizza. In fact, we were just talking about it the other day.
Pizza Hut must have heard us talking because they just launched their Udi’s Pizza Sales today! And they deliver!
Here is what Pizza Hut posted on its website today:
For some time, we’ve seen you guys do all sorts of unique and inventive things to eat pizza. From your special homemade version to cauliflower crusts to zucchini pizza boats, we’ve been impressed with your pizza spirit. But we knew you were still missing out on the simple joy of ordering pizza and having it arrive at your door. So we got together with our friends at Pizza Hut and came up with a solution.
Since we’ve shared this announcement, we’ve been listening to all of your feedback. We’re so happy to see your interest and anticipation, but we’ve also been tracking your biggest concerns and questions. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we are seeing.
On April 14, Chick-fil-A introduced new and improved grilled chicken breast and nuggets to its lineup. This new grilled chicken is infused with a smoky taste by marinating it in a blend of sea salt, lemon, garlic, and savory herbs. According to the company, this technique creates a tender, juicy filet with just the right amount of smoky flavor.
According to the company, they spent seven years and more than $50 million to reinvent its grilled chicken recipe. The largest portion of the investment came as the company worked with Garland Grills to create a proprietary grill. This new grill sears the chicken on cast-iron grates like it was cooked on a backyard grill, only faster.
“We started with a mission to create a best-in-class grilled sandwich, and after testing 1,200-plus recipes, we landed on a taste so remarkable that we decided to extend the flavor into a full grilled line,” said David Farmer, Chick-fil-A’s vice president of product strategy and development. “Our previous grilled entrees were good, but not remarkable. We wanted a grilled chicken recipe that is just as ‘craveable’ as our original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich.”
With Restaurant Week upon us in Washington DC I can’t help but think about how far the restaurant industry has come in the past few years when it comes to serving gluten-free customers! Between the increase in demand for gluten-free products from the celiacs, the gluten intolerant and the fad dieters to the efforts of nonprofits like National Foundation For Celiac Awareness, Celiac Disease Foundation and the Gluten Intolerance Group, people living gluten-free can enjoy the delicious foodie culture that has spread across the country!
Which star chefs and popular restaurants have joined the gluten-free bandwagon? A lot!
