Macroamylasemia: definition

An enzyme disorder characterized by altered pancreatic amylase bound with blood proteins, commonly IgA and/or IgA antibodies,  producing an abnormally large complex called macroamylase that builds up in the blood because the kidneys cannot excrete it in urine. Click for full description.
