National Cancer Institute.\" width=\"192\" height=\"289\" \/><\/a>What Are Extraintestinal Lymphomas?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"dropcap\">E<\/span>xtraintestinal lymphomas (non-Hodgkin&#8217;s) are malignancies that arise in peripheral lymphatic tissue outside the intestinal tract from B-cell and T-cell lymphocytes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Q:<\/strong> What is peripheral lymphatic tissue?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>A:<\/strong> Peripheral lymphatic tissue includes\u00a0lymph vessels, lymph, lymph nodes, and lymphocytes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Lymph vessels\u00a0branch into all the\u00a0tissues\u00a0of the body, carrying\u00a0lymph, a clear fluid that contains\u00a0white blood cells, especially B-cell and T-cell\u00a0lymphocytes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Lymph vessels are connected to lymph nodes which are small, round masses of tissue that\u00a0store white blood cells. They also trap and remove\u00a0bacteria\u00a0or other harmful substances that may be in the lymph.\u00a0Groups of lymph nodes are found in the neck, underarms, chest,\u00a0abdomen, and\u00a0groin<span style=\"font-size: 14px;line-height: 1.5em\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ninety percent (90%) of extraintestinal lymphomas are B-cell type and ten percent (10%) are T-cell type. In this malignancy, lymph nodes are replaced by cancer cells. Apr 2005;128(4 Suppl 1):S79-86.\">1<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>What Are The Symptoms Of Extraintestinal Lymphomas?<\/h2>\n<p>Extraintestinal lymphomas are marked by these symptoms:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"cp_bullet red\">\n<li>Painless lymphadenopathy.<\/li>\n<li>Unexplained fever.<\/li>\n<li>Night sweats.<\/li>\n<li>Constant fatigue.<\/li>\n<li>Weight loss.<\/li>\n<li>Susceptible to infection.<\/li>\n<li>Itching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How Do Extraintestinal Lymphomas Develop In Celiac Disease and\/or Gluten Sensitivity?<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"cp_check red\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Extraintestinal lymphomas result from chronic gluten exposure.<a href=\"#footnote_1_596\" id=\"identifier_2_596\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"Catassi C, Bearzi I, Holmes GK.
