Life gets better once you Identify and Fix the challenges affecting your health.

Stress melts away. Relationships improve. Work is easier. Everything is better. I know from experience…

I Feel Your Pain.

The old me. Sick, bloated, exhausted.

The “old” me. Age 29. Sick, bloated, exhausted.

At 29, I was bloated, overweight and plagued by a host of symptoms too numerous to list here. I was exercising 5 or 6 days a week and trying to eat “healthy,” but I looked terrible and felt worse.

Discovering celiac disease and the gluten-free diet in 2003 changed everything. I lost weight without trying, my acid reflux and IBS disappeared and I noticed a huge difference in my mental well-being – I felt good. I felt GREAT!

I identified other food intolerances and corrected nutritional deficiencies to optimize my health. My recovery seemed miraculous, but it was a logical result of removing foods that were damaging my health while adding foods that my body needed and correcting nutrient deficiencies.

During this transition time, I had a Eureka moment that seems like simple common sense to me now. Maintaining your health is a lifestyle. And it isn’t hard once you know what you have to do.

Adopting a gluten-free diet is crucial, but it is just the start. You must regularly review your health status and tweak your diet and lifestyle to keep healthy. I will teach you how.

Helping Others

In 2005, I co-founded Glutenfreeworks.com with my mother, Cleo Libonati, RN, BSN. Together, we published the medical reference, Recognizing Celiac Disease, which was endorsed by doctors and professors at Harvard, Columbia, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania and Jefferson Medical College. Our Facebook page has 126,000 followers and 59,100 follow us on Twitter.

I have worked with gluten-free support groups, national organizations, manufacturers and healthcare facilities.

I have helped hundreds of thousands of people through my website, Facebook page, speeches and articles. I have personally spoken with hundreds of people at conventions, support group meetings and presentations.

How Does Health Coaching Work?

We will use a phone call or Skype Video to review your present situation and discuss what you want to fix or accomplish. I will make an assessment and plan of action. I will give you practical action steps to take, providing all the support you need to help you reach your goal.

What You Can Expect

  • Questions and Analysis. In order for me to give you the best coaching possible, I will need to ask you questions about your current health and well-being, as well as what you want to achieve. I will formulate a plan to get you to your goals. Should I notice symptoms or underlying triggers during our session, I will bring them to your attention and guide you toward correcting them.
  • Answers. You will have a game plan and the actions steps you need to take to achieve your goals. I will give you practical tips, advice, suggestions and tools that will help you now and in the future. Answers may relate to symptoms, diet, exercise, mindset, medications that may be interfering with absorption, supplements, foods, menu and recipes.

Testimonials

“I was diagnosed with Celiac in early 2013, shortly after meeting John, while I was in graduate school studying Chinese medicine. He was able and available to answer any and all questions I had regarding Celiac Disease. Between John’s wealth of knowledge on every detail of the matter, and the incredibly expansive and comprehensive GFW health guide, I felt as though my hand was held every step of the way during a major lifestyle adjustment, and I couldn’t have imagined a smoother transition. I am so thankful to no longer have to deal with headaches and migraines, IBS, and constantly sweaty palms. Furthermore, GFW equipped me with the necessary tools to apply my (relatively) new GF knowledge to my profession in a way that can benefit my patients. Great guy, great company, valuable resources!” -J. H.

“I really appreciate your help because I truly feel just like I did before my CD diagnosis where docs are concerned. I so wish docs would admit they don’t know but keep trying to help you instead of ignoring the problem.” -S.P

“Dear John, I continued a true gluten free diet and still am not eating anything processed since the last time I wrote. I am still training heavily but I had my creatine levels dropped steadily from the last 2.4 to 1.15 now with urea level at 11. I strongly recommend anyone to stop eating processed food or gluten from any source. While my GFR levels are still not at their best, I still believe these levels give me a stronger chance of living a life with my own kidneys. Thank you very much for the insight and the shared knowledge!” -B.C.
