Here is a tip when preparing.
“These are fairly easy to make and very tasty.
I turn on the oven, then grate some cheddar cheese into the mixing bowl. Add the dry mix and stir to distribute the grated cheese. Then add water, a portion at a time, and stir to moisten the dough.
I use parchment paper on a baking sheet, and spoon about ten biscuits onto the sheet. When the oven is hot, I bake the biscuits for the middle time in the range given.
While the biscuits are baking, I put the specified amount of butter into a Pyrex measuring cup and microwave for 30 seconds to melt the butter. Then I add the garlic flavor packet a bit at a time and stir thoroughly — it does not mix easily. When the baking is done, a small silicone brush to put the garlic butter on the biscuits will finish the job.
These are best when they are fresh because the butter soaks in over time, but they are not bad reheated in the oven. They are very true to what Red Lobster restaurants serve.”
