Take me out to the (gluten-free) ball game, again!  If you were one of the lucky people to attend last year’s Celiac Disease Awareness Night at AT&T park, you know that a good time was had by all. Karen Friis has once again joined up with the San Francisco Giants to organize the second annual Celiac Disease Awareness Night on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 7:15pm.

You can now order your Giant’s ticket’s for the 2nd annual Celiac Disease Awareness Night at AT&T with World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants. To purchase tickets, click here.

Special event ticket holders will arrive early to attend a special pre-game party (no host) with Gluten Free food and drinks special for purchase, held in Lot D, along with various Gluten Free product-based businesses also on sight.

Last year the ticket included a gluten-free sandwich and samples from gluten-free vendors like Miglet’s bakery and Mariposa Baking Company. Pica Pica Maize Kitchen was also there, serving up samples of mini arepas. There was gluten-free beer from Redbridge and a raffle.

The event helped raise money for both the Celiac Disease Foundation and the Taylor Family Foundation. This year, tickets purchased through the special event department will benefit the same foundations.

You can read about last year’s article here.

Friis hopes this year’s event will be even bigger than last year so please spread the word to your friends and family.

  1. I already had tickets to this 6/6 Giants game, but want to attend the Celiac Lot D “food fair”. Is that a possibility? Any info you can provide would be most welcomed!

  2. I bought my tickets, but there is nothing on them stating they are special tickets. What is a special ticket holder mean exactly?

Last year, there was a special area with samples and the ticket price included a sandwich. This year, my understanding is that if you bought the tickets through the special event, it means that everyone will be grouped together. There is going to be an area where you can buy special GF food/drinks that is normally not there. I think that’s why there isn’t anything special on your ticket. I’ll see if I can get more info from special events and post tomorrow.
