Gluten-free Nation, you should be rightly shocked, dismayed and FURIOUS!  A chef in Glenwood Springs, Colorado is poisoning you…and bragging about it.

Chef Damian Cardone is wantonly feeding gluten pasta to patrons who request gluten-free food according to a post on his Facebook page. 

Chef Poisons People Gluten Free Works

Cardone was deliberately feeding high gluten food to people as of March 10 according the dates on comments to his post.

Gluten Free Allergy Free ExpoThe Gluten Free/Allergy Free Expo is taking place in Lisle, IL April 29th – May 1st.  Jen Cafferty is the founder and director of this event that is the Midwest’s largest gluten-free vendor fair.   More than 70 vendors will be on hand to sample their products.  The vendor fair also features a designated nut-free area, kids’ activities and performers.

An event this large needs a little help, so they are now accepting applications for volunteers.

irritable bowel glutenIn the first double blind randomized placebo-controlled study of gluten and symptoms in people without celiac disease, researchers from Australia have confirmed that gluten is a trigger of digestive symptoms and fatigue. They concede that “non-celiac gluten intolerance” may exist.

 

The researchers challenged and re-challenged people with IBS in whom celiac disease had been excluded whose symptoms were controlled on a gluten-free diet. Gluten Free CampsThis is the time of year when parents are planning their summer activities and for those kids on the gluten-free diet those plans include attending a gluten-free camp.  There are a number of gluten-free camps out there who are in need of volunteers to perform a variety of tasks.
